Hello, my name is Lisa Preston; I am the Group Manager for Provider Services for Walsall Council.
Part of my overall responsibility is for the delivery of adoption services. My experience spans almost 22 years of working with children and their families, for the past 12 years this experience has been within adoption. I have been a Social Worker, Senior Practitioner, Adoption Manager, Adoption Development Manager and now Group Manager.

My passion is for children and for making the right decisions for them in the right timescale. Seeing children flourish in their adoptive families is the most rewarding experience I have ever had and no matter how many times I have seen this, it is still as rewarding as the last time!

Can I adopt?

We consider all enquiries regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, and religion or relationship status. In every case the most important thing is that the child grows up in a stable, loving and secure family.

The adoption process

Once you have received more information you will be invited to attend one of our information events which are run regularly across the Midlands and then you will be able to decide whether or not adoption is right for you.

Children who need adopting

We currently have a broad range of children awaiting adoption. They range in age from babies through to older children. They include single children and many sibling groups who need to be adopted together.
